A strong housing market and strong prices attracts builders into the trade. It's very normal that the shortfall in houses is over compensated for over time. Then a reversal happens. It's like a game of musical chairs.

In the UK house prices have gone crazy. The easy money is building houses, it's everywhere. Estates of them. Mortgages are been dished out like confetti at 3 to 5 times salary. Tiny little rabbit hole apartments are now being sold for 4 bedroom detached house prices in 1997.

The trap is sprung. The sheep are being herded in. I'm just waiting for the SNAP for the trap door to close.
