J ..

made a bit of profit ...
nice ROI, just don't bet much dinero ....ggggg

el cheapo here ....

I did have my largest win wager ($5) on Composure in the 4th
and, as I posted .... Storm Flag Flying was the BEST horse ...
matter of fact, AFTER the race, and with Composure having a seemingly easy lead deep in the stretch, after dueling and then passing STF, I KNEW I had a winner ....
BUT
STF is one hell of an animal ...
came back ... with Composure giving it all, and STF draws off -----
well sir, when one sees a horse give up the lead under a hard pressing drive, and then come back ...
write down that name cause there is A HORSE ....
Storm Flag Flying is such a one .... impressed me to NO END and I didn't even mind losing the wager ....
one hell of a race --- the best one of the day as far as I'm concerned ....

I know you love Pat Day ... and I feel he got all out of Farda Amiga that was there .....best horse by far won that race ..... another GREAT horse, and one that WILL be heard from again ... I believe that I could've been the jockey on Azeri and have won the race .... could be ... couldbe I said ... horse of the year .....
and
on Pat Day ... he rode a very poor race *(as I posted being fearful of him on the rail with a big field on WhyWhyWhy) and there would've been NO WAY I'd bet him had I known he was going off as the second fave ..... I thought I'd get between 6/1 and 12/1 on the one horse ...
Vindication ran a nice race and convinced me of his ability ...
in that race my other Hold That Tiger ... he too got a poor ride ..
but, no matter ... had they BOTH (my horses) gotten perfect rides ... the Vindication horse was MUCH the best and will prove that next year ......

Wayne had Thunderello
You and Mike had Volponi
I had Domedriver

all these had magnificent odds
and I did have Domedriver to win ...

now ...
I classify myself as a damn good handicapper ....
and I really am ...

but
I did consider Thunderello as about 4th best in that race but
I can look and look and look and can't find Valponi even at a hunnert to one ..... gggg

as I posted to Mike on my first post about this BC ...
posts one-two-three on the dirt
and, I meant to edit and add the turf ...

I really feel that the posts helped Thunderello and Volponi to place and win respectively in their races ...

NO INTENT to downplay or denigrate anyone on the thread with their handicapping ...
but ...
that is my judgement after the race ....

the only fav I bet all day was the High Chapparel horse ... he won, but I'm a fool for not betting an exacta ...or even some more exactas ....

Texas is cracking down hard on online betting and the only legal way is for me to drive a hundred miles OR sixty miles into Oklahoma ....

now, of course, Wayne, Mike and you will be pi$$ed off .... hehehehehehe
