13:12 ET GE General Electric dips on Immelt comments (26.35 +0.11)
Stock experienced a pullback from $26.40 to $26.15 in reaction to a Reuters report that GE expects slower growth in 2003 than the last few years due to the state of the world economy. "I think we would need an extraordinarily strong economy in order to achieve double-digit growth in 2003," co's CEO is quoted as having told a German paper. Based on current Multex consensus estimates, GE is expected grow EPS just 4.8% in 2003 and revenues 3.5%, suggesting that Immelt is not providing any new guidance here.
