I was making the observation that I don't believe it will be Iraq in control of the larger portion.

The Kurds are a magnificently proud people, and worthy of respect ----
and they HATE the American government *(perhaps justifiably so) for the destruction which befell them due to the US gov pump and dump of support for their revolt against Saddam immediately after the Gulf War ....

There is
NO trust AT ALL for the word of the US gov by the Kurds ....

much akin to the Indian Nations here after dealing with the "long knives who spake with forked tongue" in THAT despicable era in the history of our nation.
