For cable access, WebTV is developing downstream-only CATV modem technology that can achieve 28 MBit/sec data rates
at estimated material cost of less than $50. Initially this service will use a single TV channel from the cable TV spectrum. To
support the service, WebTV will sell a CATV server that cable companies will need to install at the head-end.
