I don't want to control emotions to the point that they no longer trouble me. I am perfectly happy feeling great anger, great joy, great love. But I want to be in control of the emotions I feel. I don't want to give that control over to others. I don't want to be subject to having "hot buttons" that can be pushed to make me an emotional automaton.
