re: the Al Qaeda nuke report was from the drudgereport.com, taken from The Washington Times.

Thanks tahoe got it, couldn't find their web site. The rest of this isn’t addressed to you in particular but to the thread in general.

O/T O/T O/T O/T

Since the report I posted a couple of days ago on the News of Osama Bin Ladens death was published there has been no mention of it that I can see anywhere except briefly at whatreallyhappened.com where I sent the link after posting it here. I also sent it to a couple of American Newspaper sites Miami Herald and Washington Post at their published e-mail addresses where it was eventually returned as undeliverable at those address’s. Also sent it to Drudge.com and NewsMax.com. Not a mention has appeared that I have seen. Sent it to a couple of UK Newspapers too but don't know yet if anything came of it yet. Certainly no reply from anyone with the exception of whatreallyhappened.com but will be working on a few more this evening.

Now I would have thought that as a nation about to go to war supposedly from your leaders statements originally to get this guy Bin Laden, that this information would at least deserve a mention in the press especially since the Washington Times went to great lengths today to scare everyone that a dead guy might have Nukes or at least dirty bombs which description would cover a firecracker surrounded by some spent DU ammunition... but apparently not.

Very well! I have just sent the following to the Washington Times:

Monday 28th October 2002, 8:10 p.m. EDT

The Editor,
Washington Times,

Dear Sir

Your Mr. Neil Doyle goes to great lengths today to attempt to scare... or is it condition... the public with a story about the nuclear capabilities of Osama Bin Laden and al Qaeda. Yet Bin Laden was reported, several days ago, to have died at Toura Bora and this news does not seem to rate even a mention at your site. For your information I enclose the article and the link below.

The report of his death also indicates that the reason for this non reporting in America is due to the upcoming attack on Iraq.

Is that what the American press has come down to. A mere propaganda arm of the US establishment? Don’t you feel that your voters should have all the information available on current events before going to the polls?

Dr. Goebbels would have been proud.

Yours sincerely,

T. Richardson.

ARTICLE:

Pakistani paper: Bin Laden is dead

Regional-USA, Politics, 10/26/2002

The Paris based " al-Watan al-Arabi" issued yesterday said that Pakistani sources confirmed the death of the leader of al- Qaida organization Osama Bin Laden as a result of the American air bombardment against his forces in the Pakistani city of Toura Bora, noting that the US hid the news of his death for fears of the escalation of voices which call for halting the international campaign against terrorism and the withdrawal of the American forces.

The same sources, in exclusive statement to the magazine in its recent issue, attributed the reasons behind Washington's hiding news on the death of Osama Bin Laden to the desire of the hawks of the American administration to use the issue of al-Qaida and international terrorism to invade Iraq, expecting that the death of Bin Laden will be only announced after completing the plan of attacking Iraq.

Now I don’t really think that this thread is the place to get into a long discussion about the issue as it wouldn’t solve anything except take up bandwidth nor by PM’s if you don’t mind. Unless there are some newspaper editors out there.

Presumably a lot of folk read this thread and the only thing to do if they feel strongly about the issue, if I may I suggest it, is that you send the article with the link and a polite note to one or several newspapers or web sites and also enquire why they have not reported it yet.

If anyone wants to drop me a PM as to where they have sent it and what the reaction was if any I’ll keep track of it and collate and post the results at a later date.

Sorry for the rant but the idea of turning my back while someone goes off and starts WWIII supposedly in part to find a guy who’s already dead and not saying a word isn’t my style, and I don’t think it’s yours either. Some of you may be getting a little older and more cynical as the years go by but by God my grand kids, if ever I have any, will not say I ignored it....

Rant over... and I mean it I don’t think this is the place to discuss it. Thanks Guys.
