Well, that's more or less exactly my point. Why should the man's work schedule be an object of mirth? I have the sense we are talking past one another. I'm simply trying, however feebly, to connect to you, to Derek, to others on the thread in ways that are not foreign affairs discussions. Because I think it tempers the heat of our conflict, if we know one another a bit better and can mention items from our private lives. My recent yard work is an illustration. Several folk who helped me with the trip my wife and I took to Maine; and a trip last spring to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Perhaps I'm doing it badly.
