Okay, John. I can accept that. I think it's okay to disagree with people and to even poke little holes in their air pockets occasionally, but I think their working hours, their daily schedule, their personal habits, etc., are like their race or their sex: personal circumstances that should not be brought into the mix. It might make you personally feel more comfortable and "connected" to them, but I can say from both experience and observation it also opens up possibilities for increased ugliness in the heat of an otherwise honest (or passingly honest) disagreement. It can heighten contention rather than ameliorate it, and divert our critiques from the realm of the how, what, and why of what we think and believe, to the realm of how we choose to live our lives and who we are as individuals.

That was the tenor I was hearing and that's what concerned me.
