I think his basic premise, that Islam is flawed, parasitic, and thus must be eliminated, is highly flawed.
And this troubles me a great deal:
Our enemy is a culture which is deeply diseased. It's really difficult to exactly delineate who our enemies are, but they number in millions. They're Arab and Muslim, but not every Arab is among them, and most Muslims are not.
So the entire culture is our enemy, but only some people? And who decides which people? How are our bombs and guns going to determine that?
Do we, the most powerful nation on earth, powerful without peer, and based on Christian teachings which have a foothold in the same tenets of proselytizing that Islamic nations do, are morally morally bound to wipe out another culture?
I don't think so. And neither do many, many Americans, thank God. |
