TD-SCDMA (QCOM) 33.52 -1.88: -- Update -- Hearing that research firm Fechtor Detweiler is questioning the significance of the TD-SCDMA reports noted by AmTech Research (see 8:40 comment); Fechtor says that TD-SCDMA is only supported by Siemens, that the Chinese government has supported it for some time and it is well known, and that it would be a minimum of 3-5 years to implement; firm sees no short-term impact on QCOM, and even questions whether there are any long-term implications.
