This stuff happens every quarter right during the quiet period before the earnings. It is so predictable nowadays. Remember some no name sleeze ball research outfit for shorts brought the price down to 31 or so from 44s in one morning a week before earnings back a year ago? Gee, I can't remember the name of the outfit. I should write this stuff down..
