Chat boards are real in one sense, in that take place in the real world- somewhere there is a real person typing on a real computer, and there are real servers, etc. But assuming that anything else is real is silly. And the police will tell you that. You might want to go listen to a lecture. They tell you not to believe people on the net. That people are not what they appear. :-)
