they have a really strong balance sheet at this point GST. The problem is they have to keep lowering the bar for revenue quarter after quarter to obtain profitability (which they still haven't achieved yet). I remember last year, deep in the throws of recession jdsu said they could be break even by mid-02 with 300mm/qtr revenues. At the time 300mm sounded so low... well, mid-02 came and they couldn't even do 300mm anymore, then they lowered the bar again to 200mm breakeven- another 50% decline after the huge cuts they had already made!!!

I see this last quarter they only did 193mm revenue.

Going from frenzy boom to complete bust like this is pretty hard to maneuver, my guess is the whole place is completely demoralized.
