LOL, you have a way with words, Jim.

But the reality isn't funny. As you say, a financial train wreck lies in the not so distant future. We are taking about nothing less than the possible end of the American way of excess consumerism.

Of course, people have predicted the decline of consumerism before, but the credit excesses were never this bad before. America was still a net creditor nation in the dirty 30's. This time, they'll start to look like a third world country (already are).
