i see no reason whatsoever to doubt the credibility of such a statement...as i am certain that along with premeditation, the awareness of of being caught and the ultimate consequences of this type of crime would figure into the person's thought process.

one would therefore assume that he "considered the cost" but proceeded to act "out of conscience"...misguided though it may be.

i'm simply hearkening back to what your original statement was regarding having no conscience as seeming to be prerequisite to anti-social, fanatical acts....which i think i now have your agreement is a faulty premise.
