dood, you and the Comstock boys and the rest of this thread have clearly missed page 3 of the consumer confidence release, which includes the pro forma adjustments.

the drop in confidence was clearly caused by the sniper, who has since been caught. also, the stock market has rallied and important, widely held stocks such as CMGI, ICGE, LU and NT are up over 100% from their lows. and of course there is the upcoming rate cut. pro forma for these adjustments, confidence was at 110, more or less equivalent to peak levels in May.

and i don't know why you continue to be so foccused on jobs. we don't care jobs. median US family income is +/- $60k. median cash out refi this year is $30k. who needs a farking job??
