Well, what I had in mind about the South Carolina business were the under the table charges that McCain and his wife had adopted a non-white child. The Bush campaign never disavowed that strategy.

But the Bush-McCain stuff is sort of a throw in. The earlier stuff is old history but, hopefully, growing less relevant. Particularly as the black vote increases in the south.
