However, it is a little dopey to confuse a theoretical exposition of how we are formed morally, attempting to remain empirically grounded, for an expression of what actual judgments I would make in a particular circumstance. Also, if one went by the actual content of my allegiances: a horror of dictatorship, a high regard for liberty, a disdain for intellectual dishonesty, the exaltation of human dignity, and so forth, well, I am the poster boy for a dissident from a totalitarian regime....... |
