he left out the number of shares outstanding on the etf's. i posted it some months ago regarding the short interest. lower short interest isn't necessarily bearish since the number of shares outstanding can go down as well as up. the owner can decide to take the shares held in the fund and liquidate the shares in the fund he holds without tax consequences to my recollection. conversely, higher short interest isn't necessarily bullish if the number of shares outstanding is increasing. i wasn't able to locate the historical data on nasdaq/amex on the qqq shares outstanding but you should be able to find it in the short interest historical files.
