True.

Whether this is good or bad is debatable.

Civil rights only improved in this country when a lot of mostly young people put themselves on the line to do so. And when some of them died for it. The Birmingham bombing, the Selma beatings, the deaths of Andrew Goodwin and Mickey Schwerner and James Chaney were all necessary catalysts for change.

The tree of liberty must, indeed, be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots.
