LC, The problem with your question, is that it is far to broad in interpretation. In almost every case of military action taken by the USA, it has been in response to overt attacks by another nation, or political/religious/fanatic group. We have responded to both overt, and covert, aggression by others, or to the requests by our Allies to be of help to them. What these Islamic fanatics are doing is attacking innocent non-combatants in the name of a false god they call Allah. No other reason. They are not trying to save a nation, a particular group of people, or even the existence of their religion. They are attacking innocents on the promise that they will go to heaven and get screwed by over 70 virgins. Now that is such a noble reason for murder, ain't it??

BTW, Allah was never considered a god to the Arab people until Muhammed came along and decided to make him the one and only. Allah was nothing more than a household god of water, much like the lares, and pentares, of the Romans. The pedifile rapist Muhammed decided to proclaim him to be the one god. So, the god of Islam is, in fact, a fraud.
