<<Just to ignore DC for a moment and focus on NXTL service area; the footprint is still way too small. I spend summers in On.Ca. 200 mi. N. of Toronto. No service w/i 100 mi. So, one gets another phone,eg. Verizon that does the coverage and NXTL is out a customer. I'm not alone; the summer pop. increases 4x from June to Sept.More than 1/2 mil people vacation in the area over just 12 weeks. This is an increasing problem of apparent low priority right now to NXTL. neal >>
Yes, they definatly need to address their coverage area....my wife and I ( more my wife <ggg>)...is an avid rock climber and outdoor enthusiast...there are many in our group. And what I always notice is one of our crew is a general contractor and he is on nxtl....the rest are all with different carriers...a whole mix from verizon, to sprint to etc, etc, etc......while away from the city, the nxtl users have no service, while most all the other folks on different carriers all have full use of their phone without roaming charges. NXTL concentrates on the business end and therefor their coverage is based on that criteria.....but they do need to address getting their coverage extended further out away from the cities and into the rural areas....what good is a phone if you have very limited coverage and cant use it unless your in town.....From my talks with NXTL over the last few months, they did say this was an area they would be addressing, if that is any help.... |
