If there are to be apologies, there will need to be many.

In no particuar order, and not intended to be a complete list:

Laz, jla, E, and others will have to apologize for grossly over-reacting to the situation.
jla will have to apologize for his continued obstreperousness (sp) in keeping posting things that have no point other than to be disruptive and destructive of the good order of the thread.
E will have to apologize for her continued harassment of me.
E will also have to apologize for calling me sociopathic.
Poet will have to apologize for making wild and absurd accusations about me which were totally untrue.
Poet will also have to apologize for precipating the need for me to get tough with SI by demanding an illegal to-or-about and then demanding my suspension when I didn't post to her but simply quoted from posts she had made on a public thread.
Those who did so, and they know who they were, will have to apologize for taking the issues here from SI into 3d.

This is only a starter list. But if I am to consider an apology, it will not be in a vacuum. There is a lot of misconduct which has gone around, of which I am only a small part.

I think your idea of a reconciliation banquet has more likelihood of success than garnering appropriate apologies from all parties.
