Well, LRCX has a long way to go if your faith is well placed. If I remember correctly, I sold LRCX around $50 in 2000 and I sold NVLS around $60 (both after the 3-1 splits).

I wonder what you think the NVLS purchase of SFAM means for LRCX's CMP. I take it as a vote of no confidence. If that is the case, CMP will join CVD as failed LRCX niches.

There are a very large number of companies that will get a good bounce off the bottom. I have counseled a couple of people to wait for the bounce before switching to the companies on my list. You might consider such a switch. There is no doubt in my mind that AMAT provides both greater reward potential and less risk than LRCX.
