I own both AMAT and LRCX. I like LRCX more for "trading" as it have far more volatility than AMAT. AMAT I just sort of hold on to... once I got 2.5x my original money out after a nice buy in 1995 or so... my basis is very low...

I thought AMAT would buy SFAM for the CMP but perhaps theirs works well enough or they gave up and figure SFAM was too much a mess? I sold my SFAM on a bounce up then bought more LRCX when the sector went down. That worked very well... I plan to unload LRCX all the way up. Perhaps half my shares if we double from here... but I don't know for sure. I do plan to keep a core position.

I'm giving strong consideration of rotation into some of your semi's if I can unload on a run up then we get a pullback... get a bit more diversity that way. I don't have any in the ALTR/XLNX space so that might be the choice.

Thanks.

Kirk
