<<Yours is the second post on this thread mentioning
Johnson & Johnson is interested in taking ESON out.
Would make sense for JNJ, but not for ESON. They are
technology leader in a sector predicted to grow 40%
per year, and just turned profitable last quarter.>>

All I know about is Cardometrics and their merger with ESON. I got the information from the Red Chip Review on CFLO. CFLO has a co-distribution agreement with Cordis Corporation, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johson. CFLO will retain its top 40 domestic accounts for the remainder of the year, while Cordis/ J&J will distribute both FloWire and WaveWire tro the remaining domestic accounts. The distribution agreement est monthly, non-cancelable purchase commitments by Cordis/J&J for the remainder of 1997. CFLO trained approx 140 Cordis/J&J sales reps during 2Q97 in prep for a product launch in 3Q97.

Red Chip is calling the merger "Arming Intravascular Ultrasound with a Radar Gun...CFLO's FloWire can be used as a tool to help determine whether blood flow was restored immediately after balloon angioplasty, and whether additional intervention (conditional stenting) would be required to restore adequate blood flow."
