steve kennedy: I use Qcharts running four workspaces over three 19 inch monitors and QFeed just keeps getting worse. I tried the separate server thing for a while, but found myself dealing with issues on a daily basis on at least one of the servers. So I switched back to allow them to seek a responding server or should I really say a responding router.

However, nary a day starts up without a new problem, yesterday for instance one of the servers was missing all of the Emini data for the 28th and still is as of today. I like to think of QCharts and QFeed as the Halloween service. Every day is trick or treat and I've yet to find a day without at least one trick.

If you are not having problems, it is only because you are not aware you are having problems. Sometime it depends on if you happen to need or want to look at a chart of the most recent "problem" area. For instants, when is the last time you pulled up an "all sessions" intra-day chart of MSFT? (Try a 60 min chart.) You'll find a nasty little spike low on the 22nd that will corrupt the chart until that data spike finally trails off to the left far enough to be out of the data range you want or need to view. Of course, you can toggle the auto scale off and manipulate the chart, but who wants to spend the time doing that during the trading day.

QCharts/CrapFeed is no longer my primary service and if E-signal would provide longer intra-day data histories it would no longer be my backup service.

By the way, did I mention that QCharts/QFeed has kicked me off every single day during the last hour of trading for the past three weeks. And when it gets around to re-connecting the four loads of QCharts I have running, it usually bumps off at least one of the QChart loads identifying it as trying to connect from another computer. I just close the one or two or three loads if that occurs as I don't have the time to spend shutting down all of the loads and reloading them during the last hour of trading.

Like I said QCharts/QFeed is not my primary service any longer.

Regards,
LG
