And if Itanic can't hack it in a market where nothing but new custom number crunching code is being run, it's doubtful Itanic can make it anywhere.

Think they'll take the INGR excuse to get shut of it?

Oh for heaven's sake guys... save the watch. It's getting mighty deep in here.

Let's take a couple of steps back and look at some real facts here.

1) Intel used the Merced as a demonstrator only...
2) The I2 (McKinley) has been setting major records all over the benchmark space, and is ramping up according to Barrett.
3) The I2A/I3 (Madison) appears to be the chip slated for some real volume, and should be available middle of next year.
4) AMD has yet to sell a single production K8, and won't until the middle of next year.
5) AMD has a massive cash-burn rate at this point, and needs K8 just to stay alive, not "take over the world".
6) If current schedules hold (on both the Intel and AMD sides of the world), Prescott will be hitting the shelves at the same time as Clawhammer.
7) Intel is appealing the Intergraph decision.

Maybe some of you guys should eat some humble pie as opposed to drinking from the cup of hubris...
