I don't think you should have to do anything to your router. When you talk to Verizon tech support, you can tell them you have a router but I'd avoid mentioning you have two computers connected as they want to charge about an extra $10 a month for each additional computer. They don't inquire, though, so if you don't tell them they won't push it. If Verizon needs to help you they will want you to connect your computer directly to the modem so they can read your IP addy so they can run tests.

Verizon is a very capable provider imo, I've had good experiences with them. You should be getting an introductory price break that is around $29.95 for the first three months for 784kbps download speed and then $49.95 after that which includes the isp fee. It is hard to beat their price.

Their tech support is outstanding, so not to worry.
