Care to name the other IA-64 competitors that the Itanium beats performance and price wise? Itanium 2 beats both SPARC and Power4 in benchmarks. I know it's cheaper than the Power4. I don't know if it's less $ than SPARC, but Intel has generally used a $/performance to market against Sun.
