Last night on Hardball, Chris Matthews tore the Democrats a new one over that issue. Then he laid into them for the Wellstone "Happy Hour" memorial. He's usually pretty balanced, but the Dem's got absolutely creamed last night. He wasn't able to discuss it Wednesday because he was doing a College Tour edition with Rudy Giuliani, and on Tuesday they played last week's edition with Arnold Schwarzenegger that was postponed due to the sniper capture. It was good to see that he didn't let these two issues go without notice. I doubt we'll be seeing the Minnesota Democratic party chairman back on his show anytime soon. He kept trying to change the subject, and Chris would have no part of it.
