What does that have to do with anything? You are against economic progress and consumer sovereignty? If we followed you, we would still be wading through horsesh*t, because we protected the horse and livery industries from the emerging automobile industry; we would have outlawed supermarkets and department stores, and consequent economies of scale,and forced people to buy products for several times their current price; we would ban the use of computer stations in offices, which are devastating the secretarial/stenagraphic/clerical occupations; and so forth. Besides, it is not "millions"; most of ma and pas employees are better off (for example, with medical insurance); the consumer has greater choice and retain more of his cash; and ma and pa can find more productive uses of their resources. Change can be hard, but it is proven to be beneficial in the long run......
