If one could develop a clear understanding of this process, I would think that one could time their buys of these stocks, much closer to the lid being taken off the price of the shares and the promotional cycle beginning. So often I have seen large offers on the asks of these stocks, while CDNX approval is awaited , which basically is a ceiling on the price of the shares , to protect the price of the financing. If one could determine when acceptance of the financing had taken place , it would be much easier to determine when to buy shares, without having to hold for long periods of time. I did happen to read at one time , that private placements are suppose to close within 30 days , but I'm not sure if that's a exchange regulation or not. I've checked Sedar and other sites, but see no clear indication as to what companies have to do as far as private placements closing , in regard notification to the public.
I'm also in need of a way to form a list of stocks on the CDNX which have less than 10 million shares outstanding , I do have a subscription to Canada StockWatch, but find their company finder data base is not accurate as to the number of shares outstanding on CDNX companies. Has anyone found any other sites or screeners which has a more up to date CDNX data base ? I'm basically wanting to form a list of CDNX mining plays which have gone through a share consolidation, and have refinanced in their new form ,and are getting close to the promotional stage.
