OT,

Perhaps a fluke - but a small note from my corner in East Texas.

Contrary to numbers issued from Ford - our small town GM dealership just concluded its second best new vehicle sales month of the year.

In a last minute flurry our Commercial Speacialty Vehicle Department (work trucks) delivered 20 units in the last week.

This division which had been our engine of growth before 9/11 had been struggling since 9/11.

This may be just a one time pop - but it was the first nice surprise we've seen since 9/11.

If so, perhaps the Q4 will be stronger - the result of the long missed re-emergence of business spending.

The lags of cheap money are very long - its important to keep an awareness that they are out there working their magic.

Just don't want to see anybody get blindsided by economic recovery - as we are deluged by negative spikes and inuendo from our "friends in the news media".

Apparently it has worked on my mind ,as I find my inventory all but diminished to a 45-50 day supply. The result of weak ordering ,as I've been anticipating all of America being glued to the TV - When we all marvel at the accuracy of JDAM's blowing up the palaces of the 100 % popular Saddam Hussein.

I'm beginning to think that once these elections get over, the news media will give this negative B.S. a rest.

I bet they start spinning the news away from this "Terrible Recession" we've endured - when in fact it will go into the history books as the shortest and smallest ever recorded.

Sure gonna Miss Maria not moaning on TV anymore.gg

Bob
