Do you think that people who are conservative are stupid or do you think their point-of-view is stupid? Referring to the group so affectionately called the conservative base. They have to be near brain dead. A few small examples from many possibles large and small... During the last Administration the GOP did everything they could to kill Americorp. They panned it, they ripped it out of the President's budget. The only reason is survived was because Clinton vetoed the appropriations bill and forced the GOP to put it back in. George W. Bush gets in, promptly doubles the request and it's rubber stamped by the GOP. Does the conservative base make a noise? Is there even the observation of the hypocrisy. Nope. Good little sheep keep on talking about BJs. Clinton campaigning...loudly criticized by the conservatives. What's George Bush been doing...setting all time records for days campaiging on the road and funds into the coffers. Does the conservative base make a noise? Nope. Good little sheep keep on talking about BJs. There's more on Bush and Harkin, than the GOP ever manufactured on Clinton and Whitewater. Does the conservative base make a noise? Nope. Good little sheep keep on talking about BJs. How about UN resolutions on Iraq. The Administration manufactures reports that Iraq is 6 months away from nukes. They whine about the UN being a "debating society"...the Administration wouldn't release the draft UN resolution to 10 members of the Security Council for 5 weeks and only did so when France was about to drop their resolution on the table for a vote. Now the US is delaying a vote until after the US elections [you've got to be brain dead to not figure out what's going on there.] Does the conservative base make a noise? Nope. Good little sheep keep on talking about BJs. Conservatives are supposed to respect State's Rights. Ashcroft has made his best effort to infringe on State's rights. Conservatives are supposed to be for "free trade". Every action on the part of this Administration has been anti-free trade. Does the conservative base make a noise? Nope.
