Why is the N.Y. attorney general going after the brokerage firms and not the SEC? Isn't that what the SEC is for? Don't they get quite a bit of money to do that job? (I'm sure they say it isn't enough).

I propose we give all the money in the SEC budget to the NY attorney general and let him regulate the securities industry. At least he has some balls.
