Agreed. They are very affordable as well. I have a Linksys cable router with 10MB wireless + 4 ports. Very cool, but make sure to use WEP. I've driven around my neighborhood with my laptop and identified a dozen wireless networks blaring out their SSID to anyone who wants to hop on.

But, back to your point, none of my computers behind the router are visible to hackers. That alone is worth the price.
