My advice to anyone with dsl or a cable modem. Even if you only have a single computer, connect to your cable/dsk modem thru a linksys of some other cable router. It is interesting that you say that. My IT guy insisted that I install a router so I bought a Linksys wireless and he installed it. Are the external routers really that effective in blocking viruses and hackers? I'm counting on an answer in the affirmative, but would appreciate some statistics/information on the level of effectiveness. TIA M
