"Me playing dumb? You didn't answer any of my questions"

I didn't answer your questions because I am not a seer. Nobody can say specificcally what will happen in the future. There are infinite details. But anybody who has had the courage to admit wrong and to regret their behaviour in life would understand that it changes things--often very profoundly; Without anybody pounding their head too hard, it could be minimally anticipated that a lot of people would find a newfound respect for him, and would feel more justified in reverting to the friendliness that characterized many of their past relationships with him before these events.

"Or were you implying that the apology would cause everyone to forgive CH and relationships would be back to where they we"

I don't know the future. If you have ever made an apology perhaps you will be able to resolve some of your own perplexity. Or you may continue to believe that nothing will change.

"All I'm getting is what appears to be an insult"

No, you are not getting an insult. You are getting an angry response from someone who expected better from you (especially you as a trained professional) than throwing up her arms and whimpering that you don't see how admission of wrong doing and expression of regret might change things. For the love of Satan: these are the exact opposites of what has been occurring here for months...and you cannot see it as a change in the dynamics??? Even if you don't know exactly what changes will occur (you probably cannot answer impossible questions about the future, either), you could at the least find it fairly obvious that it would CHANGE THINGS...yet several times you denied the ability to grasp the notion...
