I met Bob on a few occasions, mostly interacting w/both sales managers, and some w/research team...free pizza Fridays-g

Bob did great in gold markets, Japan, several currencies and metal in early-mid 90s...unfortunately, he was horrible in US markets during '90- and that's where the action was (or perceived to be), but like Grant...some/many liked him for his quality writing and alternative thinking (reminding us of the stuff that we should all keep in mind in a fun/interesting way)..

Bob wasn't (and probably never will be) a great businessman in the classical sense- even he would admit it. From what I saw (and likely still the case) he is not hands on, and leaves that to others. He is very professorial, and fascinating to listen to. He started the company in his basement w/a secretary, and still has 70 employees (probably hasn't grown much in the 90's)....anyone who has built a business of that size from scratch will always have my respect.
