David, thanks for the compliment - we trolls do not mind people trip trapping over our bridge. We do pounce out on them though.

Actually, I'm serious that cellphones shouldn't be banned while driving. I've just been 9 passenger hours in a van with son driving and receiving quite a few cellphone calls and in observing his driving during the process I am sure I would be happier with his driving while on a cellphone than with Schmandel the Belligerent but Lucky who has frequent near misses.

I suspect such a belligerent person as Schmandel causes a LOT of near misses or at best frustration and irritation for other drivers. Plus his spleen is probably constantly inflamed with bile. Yes, I know bile doesn't actually go in the spleen - it's just a figure of speech.

I hope also David that you are not referring to my serious suggestion that CO2 is GOOD! Okay, admittedly, some of my suggestions are half-baked ideas which I put out for intelligent comment so I can figure out if I'm up a gum tree.

Ashley Mullen is the champion corrector of faulty ideas. Note that he agrees with me on the cellphone one [because that's what the data says and also, it's obvious to anyone who is an intelligent driver themselves].

PS: It's not necessarily a compliment to say somebody is suitable to go out with daughters. The daughters seem likely to consider such a person a loser jerk. I'm far too elderly and have done far too many kilometres to be even considered for going out with daughters [my three adult daughters would consider it a very sick idea for a start - not to mention wife and son; hitting on kids' friends is not considered cool].

I was somewhat put out a couple of decades ago by a woman being happy for her attractive 18 year old daughter to get a lift with me [alone] on a long journey - I thought that implied that I wasn't riskily stud-like enough to be taken seriously. I didn't even know them, so I considered myself a high risk, or at least that they should consider me to be. Oh well. If the shoe fits, wear it.

Having seen quite a wide collection of human refuse coming down the driveway in pursuit of my daughters, I know what suitable male prospects are not like. My wife considers me insane and that many of them were nice young men. She obviously was completely confused. members.aol.com
