For that, investment purchases of gold will have to grow tenfold, and before that happens, the CB's are going to flood the market with their hoard of gold (currently standing at a solid 29,000 tonnes, more than 10 years gold production). Just the threat of such flood will quite the market, so they will not have to actually do it.
