X, I hope they are right, but the Democrats have done a horrible job of getting out any messages. Right from the start, they should have used a Republican Icon's quote to cut the legs off the GOP. "Ask yourself if you are better off today than you were two years ago." Game, set and match. None had the brains to play their strongest card, which is that the No Tax, but Spend Like a Drunken Sailor Republicans have murdered the economy.

Another card, which the Dim Dems were too cowardly to use was that the terrorist attacks occured on the Republican's flubbed watch. Meanwhile, they let the GOP get away with blaming Clinton's lack of security. Uh, the doofus and his House had 9 months to make some improvements and basically did diddly other than take a vacation during this period.
