There are involved two sets of regs - exchange rules, and provincial securities regulations ... my friend here says the exchange will almost certainly have more specific and tighter regs in re news releases than the BCSC et al, and i agree with this, the requirement from the provincial commissions to inform the public of material events is quite general as i recall, open to interpretation as to exactly what constitutes 'material' in each circumstance .... but it's been a while since i sat down with the book, and my brain fuzzed over after about ten minutes of it anyway
This seems to be the cdnx [or whatever] Corporate Finance Manual, which should include such info - tsx.ca .... at 9000k i'm not going to download it though -g- ... maybe somebody with broadband and one of these new-fangled hotrod compooters can cut and paste something for us
'Buy when They buy, and sell just before They sell' .... an old saying, 'They' being insiders of course, it's what you're proposing basically, and it's a very good idea .... People Property and Phinancing, the three Ps - first thing to look at is People, but a decision can be made only after a thorough check of the other two ... in my view share structure, in detail of numbers, timing, and pricing of shares issued, is part of the third P, Phinancing ... very essential, it gives you some idea what the People plan to do with the company .... the best of People have been known to leave some of their corporate vehicles idle, often while they put their funds and effort into another |
