I need a little help with Excel,

I have a spread sheet with this formula in cell F9
=VLOOKUP(C9,'1q'!$A$1:$B$8,2,FALSE)

It looks to sheet 1q and reports back what it finds and fills in cell F9..... so far so good....

When nothing is found on sheet 1q (intended that way because I have not placed what I want on 1q yet) I get this showing up in the cell.... #VALUE!

Question 1... Is there a way to have that #VALUE! not show up?.... something to say if nothing is found leave the cell blank? I still want the formula to be there so that when there is data on sheet 1q it will be reported to that cell.

Question 2....The cell to it's right, G9 is =B9*F9 and get the same #VALUE! showing. Would like to have G9 keep it's formula and not show the #Value.

Question 3....Cell G12 is the sum of all numbers in column G which so far has those two #VALUE! in it and I get #VALUE! showing in G12.... I would like the G12 to ignore what the non numbers and total what is in column G.

If this is too complicated I can e-mail the spreadsheet to someone so they can tinker with it, it's not big or complicated, well, I guess it is a little complicated to me.

Thanks
Hal
