It's worse than that. Listening to the expert who coined the term Islamofascist was on CSPAN Booknotes today, (Steven Schwarz, once a writer for Voice of America, new book "The Two Faces of Islam: The House of Sa'ud from Tradition to Terror" amazon.co.uk, and even a fox interview : foxnews.com the root problem is from the Saudi wahabis who are the ones instigating the extremism in targeted Muslim countries, and they are getting worse.
The escape of Taliban / Al Qaeda leadership to Pakistan is too coincidental. It smells like a set-up, like the Reagan era: when enemies are needed, you invent them, arm them, fight them, and let the leadership escape as needed for further political advantage. And the truth is, regardless of the smell, terrorism is increasing under Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II administrations. Once voters recognize these simple facts, an alternative will be voted in. The problem remaining will be how to root out the covert action going on in the name of Americans, with American money and blood, but in secrecy and no accountability. Meanwhile we have to use external facts to make our decisions:
The fact of Saudi complicity, and the cozy Bush relationship at the highest levels of the Saudi government speaks much louder than the flimsy excuses by the Saudi Royals and Bush royals saying, "but the Saudis don't want the extremists either.". Bullsh*. The Saudi and Bush family and followers benefits from terrorism and warfare, in their hold on political power and in their personal financial gain from war profiteering.
A) If terrorism were to dissapate, the Bushes (and no doubt the Saudis) would lose power and be deposed.
B) If the Bushes were to be deposed, terrorism would dissapate.
Take your pick. |
