Saddam Hussein effectively kicked out the inspectors by making their environment so inhospitable that we had to withdraw them. That's not a lie,

If not a lie, then it is a big misrepresentation. The inspectors were not threatened, they were not injured, they were not left in the cold. Instead they were allowed to run hither and yon in a destroyed country not finding much. They were bored into leaving.

Was Saddam hiding things from them? Common sense says so, but it couldn't have been more contraband than fits in the trunk of a car. Not only were there inspectors, but there are satellites taking pictures of every suspect building and every group of vehicles. If Saddam was moving things before the inspectors got somewhere then there would be amble pictures of where to go next. The inspectors got frustrated by chasing down papers and items that turned out to be junk.

If the inspectors happened to find something, like a stash of papers that indicated who was selling and giving arms, germs, and poison so Saddam, it was suppressed (no surprise because we found the enemy and it was us). That further frustrated the inspectors. They were agrivated into leaving.

The right wing extremists would not let the Clinton administration declare that Iraq was safe. They would not let them make a significant attack. The inspectors left so that Clinton could at least attempt to push Saddam a little farther back before the inspectors left with a declaration that Iraq was A-Okay again.

The lie is that the current hostility with Iraq is not about oil.
