"I think that it takes all three elements to get the complete picture of what happened.

If we deal with one problem at a time we can potentially draw some conclusions. Where the problem involves personal conflict reaching consensus even on one issue is difficult.

It is a complex world. If it could be three it could also be 20. Do you think all three (or twenty) need to be addressed for any progress on any one one to be made? To add the "vigilantee on speed" element reminds me a little of the clinton presidency. In that, before we could determine a resolution to his dilemma we had to evaluate Hide, Gingrich, etc. etc. etc. which of course led to more disorder.

"Vigilantees on speed" exist within and outside of this particular episode of SI. Each of us posters has his or her personality that can be picked at on any given day regardless of the issue that has remained unresolved now for two years. At a few points in time we were at the door of resolution. My observation is that at each of these points personalities, and issues that coexist have been promoted over resolution of the problem. This has been done primarily by X and CH as far as I can see.
