Zoner, I believe the Israleli population, overall, has been in favor of dismantling Jewish settlements in EXCHANGE for a comprehensive peace.

But most Israelis understand that so long as Arafat and militant Palestinians continue to threaten to destroy Israel, and provide sanctuary and support for suicide bombers, there's little incentive to dismantle them.

There has to be compromise on both sides. And I think the polls you display that Israelis are more than willing to do so once Palestinians are ready to reciprocate.

But first things first.. Israel must have their security guarantees.
